I have no idea why this has not received at least an average of three stars.

I hope no one gave this a 1 star. However, looking at the average I would guess someone had to. To me this is a SOLID three, maybe even a four. I gave it a four to offset a one a little.

The biggest issue is skin tone, and that could be my monitor. I see some red in the skin that I don't think should be there.

Nice job.

IMO it’s not a three star image because of the lighting and the red skin/lips/ear.

Yes the left side of the subjects face and the shoulders are lit well but the hair and the right side of the face need light to balance the photo.
A hair light or reflector photographer’s left would aid dramatically in making this a three star image but where it is now, it’s debatable.

Healthy debate, not a jab at you or the photographer.

I used a fill for the right side of the face. I think I should've uped it one stop. I was trying to make it a bit dramatic hence I also shot from a slightly lower angle. I already tried removing most of the red from the face but apparently not enough. I'm new to photography/ especially studio so the critics really mean a lot. Thanks! Also to you Andy Marek
