3.36 - "Solid"

Horseback rider and her favorite horse. Shot with three strobes(two strip boxes and one 42" softbox. It took about 15 minutes to get the horse comfortable with the lights and only a couple to line up the shot. All done in camera only minor skin retouching and global adjustments. The goal was to show her connection to the horse and her serious aspirations for pursuing a career in riding.

I love this. Well done.

Thank you! It was a pleasure to create.

Dang, awesome!

Very nicely done technically and I understand why you composed the way you did, but I want to see the person, since it is supposed to be a senior photo. You probably have a great shot showing more of her.

I would imagine that this lady was over-the-moon happy with this shot. If her school allowed for animals in senior portraits, I bet this was the shot she chose.

Great shot

Outstanding! They both have the same eye color.

In general, I like the image. As a senior portrait, i'm not crazy about only seeing one eye of the seniors face.

I appreciate the feedback, it crossed my mind. This was my original concept for the shoot. In shots where I had both, it didn't have quite the same effect. Several other shots from the shoot and she chose it for her favorite.

Wow! Great photo and I love how it captures the story of this woman's love for horses.
