"Ty and the girls". John-Tyler Binfet is one of the leading researchers in kindness in adolescents and adults, and canine-assisted interventions on student well-being at The University of British Columbia. His canine-student therapy program, B.A.R.K., is a model for many universities establishing their own canine therapy programs to enhance student academic retention as well as overall physical and mental health. I am so grateful to have had two great years volunteering for this program during my Bachelor's degree. I have seen it change many lives, and bring joy to thousands of students.
In these challenging times, let's be thankful for our family, friends, and four-legged friends, who can all give us a sense of joy and help us build our own resilience. To better days ahead!
