Winston, my Beagle dog.
A couple of years ago my wife lost my Border Collie in a bad accident. I loved that dog more than many human relatives. He was very smart and nice to everyone. The best companion so far, he could not only open water taps or doors but he could also play simple volleyball. For two years I said I'd never love another dog and this year, around the same date when my wife lost my beloved dog, she got me this dog. As soon as I saw her coming into the house with a living being in her arms, I tried to put my best grumpy and bitter face but it melted in a smile when I saw the face of this dog that is as kind and nice as my previous dog. Crazy thing is that regarding intelligence, a Beagle is on the opposite end of the supreme intelligence of a Border Collie and I would've never get a Beagle. And yet... the kindness and sweetness of this dog doesn't need anything else. I realized that while no dog is going to ever be my previous dog, no dog has to be, and it's enough to love them and be loved in return.
Made with Fujifilm X-T2, 35 mm f2.
