Shot is from Aurangabad a city in India , scenes like this stall selling fruit emerge as night falls on otherwise unlit streets. The motorcyclist ordering arrived just as I was composing the shot made it complete.
...comments welcome , my first f stoppers contribution!
Captured on a Canon G16 (handheld night mode)
I want to give this more stars- so close yet so far. There's something wrong with the photo quality of the man's face in the middle. Everybody else looks reasonable. I suspect the auto ISO put the camera on its highest setting of 12,800 and the man may have moved ever so slightly- darn. You can crop out half the pavement at the bottom as I feel it doesn't contribute to the photo- darn. Too bad about the placement of the sign in front of the man's head at left- darn. Good eye, I like the photo, it's just too bad abut the little imperfections not necessarily in your control- darn.
thanks ! ISO is 2000 on the shot. It's unmodified apart from a crop and slight saturation bump. I square cropped to focus tight on the group but on reflection perhaps should have kept to the original crop (see my fs portfolio just starting)
Great composing and color. I would delete the green and the red Strings and remove den brown lillte thing on the left. But I like the almost painting look. Good shot!
thanks Robert :O) those that have really liked have commented that is has a Hopper feel , i think the high iso gives that painterly look
too
