We were in Rockport, TX in early Mach, 2020. We turned off to explore some side streets and found a protected wildlife area with a parking lot. You could only photograph from the parking lot, and I had my Nikon D850 and Sigma 150-600mm lens with me. The groundskeeper, clearly used to birders and photographers, let us know he was about to drive close to the trees, which would make the birds fly up en masse briefly.
