I took this as I was leaving a SpaceX launch at Cape Canaveral Beach. I saw a couple of cars pulled over and could see people gathering at the roadside. It turned out a wild alligator was in the water next to the road. The people soon panic and got back in their cars but I really wanted to get a shot. I put on a x2 extender on my 70-200mm lens and shot this at 300mm to give me space and time to be able to run.if it bolted. During post, I zoomed in and could see my reflection in its eye and made me realise how risky it could have been.
