Smoke

This is an image of the Ten Mile Range in Colorado. In the late summer the clouds will sometimes "fold down" over the mountain range. That was the case this day about 10 years ago. It was raining, cloudy and cold. This image was shot from way up on a road opposite the mountain range. If memory serves me correctly it was shot with a 200mm and a 1.4 extender on a 1.6 crop Canon body. I probably visited the same spot a dozen times that year and hung around for a couple of hours each time.
