"Bikers" (like others) usually get a bad rap due to their appearance and stereotypes in mainstream media, but few are highlighted for the blood, sweat, and tears that they put into their pride 'n joy. In the case of Bram, he a custom bike builder that specializes in cafe racers. I always wanted to capture him in a way that is genuine, but still having an artistic element to it. Fog was used to set the mood and also accent the small shop's appearance on camera.
The setup consisted of 2 strobes (Broncolor). The key was a BeautyBox (portable beauty dish) and the fill was the unique Litepipe P modifier gelled with a yellow, orange, and red gel. Shot with Canon 1Dx and a 24-105mm lens.
I love the colored fog in the background and the models impression.
I would have put some more light on the models face. For me it's a little distracting that his arm is the brightest / most contrasty part.
