Smoke

This image was shot around 2006. I live in the mountains of Colorado. In late summer we usually get storms in the late afternoon. Most of the time the clouds roll in and slowly obscure the mountains. In this shot I captured a dead tree and the flanks of a mountain range receding into the distance. Capturing black (the tree) and shades of gray from dark to very light.
