I hope this a unique (designed) take on the St. Peter’s Baldachin, which is a massive structure in St. Peter’s Basilica, and at the same time, dwarfed by the building size. Gian Lorenzo Bernini designed the Baldachin with the intention to mark St. Peters tomb.
We were fortunate; the day we visited the church, it was nearly empty. Since it was dark inside, I wanted to use my tripod but was not allowed to, hence the high ISO 1600. I hope this photo reflects part of the imposing size and detail of these structures.
