We went to an abandoned place I know and hanged a punching bag to the ceiling.
I planned to shoot at this time of the day to get the sun through windows, as a backlight.
The main light is a strobe with a large deep silver umbrella. Used some haze spray to reveal sunrays (was not happy with the results but better than nothing).
The "dust" at the point of impact is in fact flour that was clapped by an assistant. I then added it to the main photo to get a sense of percussion.
Caught my eye...i think that makes a good shot!
