2.5 - "Solid"

Shot on the Nikon Z6, Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/2.8 @ 49mm, 1/80, f/5.6, ISO 400.

As most of my work is for social media, the constrains of instagram's ratios is as far I can go. Hence it is cropped a certain way.

Used natural light coming in from my window. Shot handheld facing downwards.

Brightened and colour corrected the fruits to make them pop and be vibrant in lightroom. No photoshopping done.

Everything was styled in-house.

Feedback would be appreciated :)

In terms of food styling, I like the plate arrangement, and I think the wings look good. The fries look a little pale for my taste, it looks like your pineapple slices are 2 different colors, and the citrus slices look a little geometric rather than round, like maybe they're dried out.

I think the lighting needs to be reconsidered. You have a big highlight that obscures the label on the 2 left bottles (probably a big no go in a commercial shoot) and you can see a lot of the surroundings reflected in all the glass. I also find the messaging to be a little confusing. Maybe some ad copy would clear it up, but a plate of fried food in the middle of a bunch of fresh fruit and branded fruit drinks seems contradictory.

Hi, thanks for the feedback, so the drinks are actually mocktails and the fried food is because the bar serves that kind of food which they want to showcase. So yes I guess it doesnt make sense without some context. But yes the fruits are also a little dried out as they were provided by the client.

Appreciate the feedback, will work on the lighting a little bit more, especially with the reflective surfaces.
