This was taken in a sand dune field in Death Valley National Park. The shrub is a bit more lopsided than I'd prefer but it was the only one I saw that worked with the moon in frame. I didn't know it in the moment but I was about out of time for composition hunting, anyway. Within 20 minutes of taking this photograph a sandstorm with wind gusts over 40 mph closed in. Visually interesting but utterly miserable to hike around in.
