Minimalism

This was actually a pandemic project of sorts. I took it back in the spring of 2020 when I didn't have many other options of subjects. The subject was lit using a small flashlight that I had with me at home so as to make him brighter than the rest of the photo. I actually built a whole moonscape for him to inhabit, but it didn't translate well to a photograph. I then took the original file into post and darkened the rest of the image until it got to the point seen here. I had to be careful to leave a sense of emerging from the darkness.
