While hiking around I found a small pond that was filled with frog eggs. It wasn't long before the guard frog popped up, keeping a close eye on me. I was able to get down low and with some patients, he got close enough to where I could get a good shot of him. He hung around, cautiously watching me and guarding the hoard of eggs. I was able to grab a few shots using the Nikon D850 and the Tamron 150-600 @ 600mm, before I left him to do his job of watching over his babies. As I packed up and left, he let out a nice loud croak to sound the all clear. I love wildlife photography and the experiences it has given me with these amazing animals.
