'High Tea'
This was one of the most popular images from a series that I shot during a cold wet day. The rain drenched the deers coat and at times made it glisten. I waited for this shot for a while. Getting to know the Stags movements and behaviour, I stayed in the same spot until it circled round and reached up to pull the branch down. I had visited this spot at leat ten times before I got these series of images. This particular spot has placed second in a global competition, been featured in all major UK papers and sold very well on limited print. In terms of editing, I removed a very small branch from the top that was distracting as well as enhanced the existing light.
