Professional Ballerina. She trains for 36 hours per week and I wanted to showcase her strength and grace with this portrait. Ballerinas might look fragile to the naked eye but they are stronger than we think. It takes an athlete who is an artist to be a ballerina.
Settings:
Canon EOS 5D Mark IV
EF 85mm f/1.8 ƒ/4.5 1/200s ISO 100
Lighting:
36 Inch Octabox camera left. I used a strobe with a fast flash duration in order to freeze the motion with minimal blur since we were shooting at a lower shutter speed of only 1/200. It is not fully frozen everywhere but we had to work within the limitations of the equipment I had at hand.
