I wanted to capture a dancer's movement, but i didn't want the usual blurry blob. I didn't want any streaking from the dancer's body. To capture this image, I had the dancer hold battery-powered LED string lights, and used a combination of long exposure and a strobe. In order to remove any streaking form the dancer's body, the room had to be pitch black. The challenge was to keep the dancer in focus. The final image basically came straight out of the camera; I only added a very slight color grade.
