My friend (pictured) was having a going away party crawfish boil and I brought my Fuji GFX 50r. He mentioned that I never really got a good photo of him so I found a spot in good direct sunlight and waited for a cloud. When the moment was right I got him to move to the spot and smile, and took the shot. I wanted some good background separation from the house which wasn't far back so I tried to use as low an ISO as possible (iso 100) and shoot wide open (f/2.8) with the 63mm lens near minimum focus. Manual focus to hit the eyes.
