Image was taken in Stone Town, Zanzibar. The man owned a little perfume shop with his wife. They had Indian heritage and they had moved to Zanzibar when they were young. After buying some of their perfumes I asked if it was okey if I took a portrait of him. The image is naturally lit by the sun and the I placed the man in the shadow behind a building to get away from the harsh mid-day contrast. The background is changed in photoshop, because of a lot of distracting elements and I have used dodge and burn to emphasize the features in his beard. Taken on Sony A7 II.
