This image is of forefather Mitică of Bucovina while me and another 2 ethnographic photographers were searching for some landscapes to shoot.
While we were going down from a very steep hill, forefather Mitica at his 84 years of life was climbing it like it was nothing, to go to his sheepfold to take care of his sheep. The photo was taken in a photojournalistic style when one of the ethnographic photographers was talking to him about the forefather past experiences from his life .
It was taken with a Nikon Z6 and Nikkor 85mm f1.8G adapted with the Nikon FTZ 1 adapter.
I didn`t do much processing, beside converting the photo in B&W and made it a little more contrasty (everything in Lightroom) as i think this photo should preserve his expressions, his wrinkles from a long and tumultuous life lived since the time of the communists and especially the surprise on his face when he saw that some young people were eager to listen to his life stories.
(P.S this picture was shot in Romania, to be more specific in the region named Bucovina)
