This is the first image of a series of portraits, called URBAN SAINTS. It was my first serious photographic exploration with a common theme, running throughout. I have been shooting these portraits for years, and it was a concept with which I wanted to showcase female beauty and empowerment in a typical Eastern European "iconic" way with a modern urban twist. A modern "saintly" portrait that evokes power and expression.
