In lack of access to models or people to portray, the solution may be to do a self portrait. But it`s more difficult. Often the selfportrait doesn`t contain a proffesional, nor a particularly pretty model either. And you don`t see the pose and light and shadows and so on, unless you have an extra screen with live view of what`s going on. Which I don`t. But there are advantages. The model doesn`t get tired before you, the model does exactly what you say, and there is no refusal or discussion about what and why. One overhead light and my personal editing to get the cold look as it is here in Norway.
