About this photo: Total luck shot to get a clear photo in these conditions, I saw the shadow of a bald eagle lower into the dense fog about 300 yards out. I panned and captured a series of 5 images or so. Turned this to black and white in Lightroom and stood amazed to see how the image turned out. All other post processing was just slight adjustments to sliders in Lightroom. The light conditions were very unique and I’ve not taken a photo like this since No crop!

I like the B&W, the fact it has a fish, the wing placement, how it's horizontal on the horizon, and all the mist coming off the water. Also, many shots cropped like this I've seen so far I've wished they were cropped in a little. This one I think is framed very well. Excellent photo!
Thank you! I typically feel the same as you with the cropping. Just felt this was the odd occasion that worked not only as black in white, but also as a small in frame situation. I also like it in 16x9
