This is a Black Swallowtail Butterfly feeding on a Zinnia flower in my garden.

It was photographed with my Canon 5D Mark IV and Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM lens.

This was photographed on a hot summer day while a thin cloud layer filtered the sun for a beautiful soft lighting effect.

Basic corrections were done in Lightroom Classic and a few minor flower imperfections and background distractions were cleaned up in Photoshop
