Two Great Blue Herons in breeding plumage in love.

My regular camera broke the day before. I was very un-happily using my old backup camera. There were several photographers at this location who were using the best cameras on the market, and I felt horrible about that :) But in the end, I was also very surprised and happy that that this ended up on the cover of National Wildlife Magazine.

No post processing other than a little bit of a crop. Wildlife magazines don't allow much else.

Not that it's so great, but after being on a magazine cover, being licensed for a greeting card and sold as prints. I thought it would be interesting to add it to the contest to see how many 'not good enough for a portfolio', 'needs work' or 'snapshot' ratings it gets, because I'm sure there will be many :)
