A turtle soaking up the last rays of warm light on a log in a pond in New Jersey.
Earlier in the year I bought a kayak for wildlife and bird photography where two tripod legs would straddle either side of my legs and the 3rd going across the deck of the boat, with the camera on a gimbal.
After a several kayak outings without the camera (for fear of tipping over), and several dry-runs to practice the setup, I finally found myself confident enough to try out the setup in practice. To my delight the setup worked perfectly, and I'm very thrilled with the resulting images.
I don't think I've ever seen a more majestic looking turtle 😂
