This image was taken at Flaminco beach, Culebra, PR. Taken on a Cannon 5d at 70mm. Shutter speed 1/1000 f/9 ISO 320. Through out the day i had been capturing images of pelicans dive bombing for fish. But was more interested in taking quiet and clensing seascape photos sice wildlife photography isnt my Forte. I set up this composition with my main intention being capturing the shadows of the palm trees and the bright blue ocean but ended up also capturing a pelican dive bombing right as it was about to hit the ocean. The pelican in this photo is pretty far away so it doesn't work so well for digital means. But I feel as though cropping in would kill what makes this photo tic. I think printed huge is what would work best for this image. Some side notes about processing: Simple Lr adjustments including contrast and exposer. Surprisingly i did not touch any color or saturation slider on Lr or Ps, the ocean was truly that blue lol. some seagrass was clone stamped out in photoshop because it was dark and took a bit of the focus away from the pelican.
