Red Kite (Milvus milvus)

This has been shot in the zoo through the fence. This bird was definitely posing for me. I think the result is really good considering it's been shot with 10 year old M43 camera.

Panasonic GM5 + Panasonic 100-300 mk II (~800$ setup) - hand held.
Edit in LR Classic.

Nice quality image, but for me the bird's beak is too bright, saturated and highlighted, brings all the attention on it, almost annoying to the eyes. Also not nice transition on the edge of the bird's head from sharp to blurred. Maybe you over sharpened parts.

I agree. Unfortunately GM5 sensor got really limited dynamic range. So there are drawbacks you cannot overcome. On most photos you got either some overexposed highlights or you loose some shadows :(.
But considering it's at least 10 years old technology the results are good enough :D.

Yeah, I know, but in this image particulary the highlighted part occupies a big part of the image, and it is also centered.

Great image !
