Shot on my Canon 5D MK II with the EF 50 1.8. Single Speed light firing into a large Umbrella. This was the first time I had ever worked with a make up artist and a model. It was quite eye opening to see how great makeup can really elevate a portrait. The model was involved in alot of pageants at the time and I wanted to take a straight up honest portrait of her as all of her other images were glitz and glammed to the max. She looked great in those but I wanted to do something different.
