Moody Lighting

This photo was from a series of portraits featuring the Como 1907 soccer team at Villa Elmo that my wife Lucia Giacani and I shot together. It was a Caravaggio inspired shoot, so we maintained the very directional light from the group shot. The portraits included printed backdrops from 18th century paintings. The photo was subsequently auctioned so that fans and players could get a copy with the proceeds going to a local cancer research laboratory. Shot with a fujifilm GFX 100.
