“The Saffron Prayers”
Shot on the ghats of Varanasi, a moment that felt suspended in time. Amidst the hum of the river and the distant temple bells, I noticed a devotee, a white woman wrapped in a striking saffron saree, lost completely in her prayer. She sat still, almost in a trance, her devotion radiating through the air around her.
The vivid orange of her saree merged seamlessly with the saffron-painted temple walls behind her, as if the scene itself had arranged its colours for this one moment of surrender and faith. It wasn’t just a photograph, it felt like witnessing devotion take form.
