“Monk in the Red”
This image from Kathmandu holds a special place in my heart, its colors, its simplicity, its perfect alignment of light. At a Buddhist stupa, monks moved in a steady circle, chanting softly as their prayer wheels spun in rhythm. Amid this flow, one monk stood out in his deep red robes, glowing against the bright Nepalese sky.

I gently asked if he would pause for a moment at an empty spot, just him, the blue sky, and pure, uncluttered light. He agreed with a warm nod. That quiet cooperation, the stillness amid movement, and the harmony of red against blue made this frame something I’ll always treasure.
