Punk Cantaloupe. I like texture! Since a cantaloupe is shaped like a head...that was the starting point. I bought some bamboo skewers, spray painted them red. Drilled holes in the top of the cantaloupe and inserted them to create a mohawk. The eyes/eyebrows are from a model I shot, using photoshop to composite them in. The nose and mouth are mine, again compositing them in. The neck was a tin can with a tattoo sleeve and spike studded bracelets (doesn't everyone have those!?). The skin tone color was placed over the central area of the "face". The main light was a fresnel spot, a small cool soft box (12") from the right side and a 5" reflector with a 20 degree grid with warm filter from the upper left. Smoke in the background with red and blue gels. Added the nose ring and earring in the photoshop composite. Shot in my small studio in my living room. Main issue I had was having to crawl under the table the cantaloupe was on to get to the back to tweak the lights. Yep, a small studio space! D850 with 100mm Tokina macro.
