Ai Awaits UR Prompt. With all the buzz going on about Ai, I decided to shoot something that some might think IS from Ai. Nope, all photography and photoshop! I started with a red LED mask on black, long exposure to get just the lines. Took apart an old MacBook Pro and shot the mother board. That went behind the LED lines. The eyes are soap bubbles shot straight down, so the black "iris" is actually the lens. That was composited into a 3" crystal orb sitting on metal with ⅛" holes with a red gel (later changed the hue to purple in Photoshop) and two LED 12" light bars on either side of the orb. The "eyes" layer was dropped to a lower opacity in order to bring the motherboard fan blades through. The background is a metal roof I had shot, mirrored it to create the "X" and blurred it a bit. Added smoke layers with blue gels. D850 with 150mm Sigma macro. Lighting on the motherboard was a 36" strip light from above( Godox flash). Shot in my small studio in my living room. Photoshop composite with 7 images (two were smoke). The only challenge was in compositing, although it ended up pretty much as I had envisioned it!
