I wanted to create a striking image with this vivid red anthurium flower that would contrast sharply with the deep shadows, creating a bold interplay of color, form, and mood. I like its subtle minimalist vibe. I shot this with my Sony a74 using a 35mm 1.4 art lens. I also used a strobe - Godox AD400 pro, I think I had it at half power and used a photex softlighter as the modifier. I wanted to keep my subject as natural as possible doing minimal skin retouching. I also kept the eyes as they were, I feel like sometimes they get overdone and they just look like "space crystals".
