I photographed this image during a the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, working entirely with natural early-sunlight. I positioned myself beneath one of the balloons as it lifted, letting the sweeping panels of color fill the frame from corner to corner. I shot this with a wide-angle lens to exaggerate the scale and let the vibrant shapes dominate the composition.
