Paris, late December 2024.

A dark, cold and rainy afternoon at Père-Lachaise Cemetery. I was hoping to find the place where Laurent Fignon was buried.

Almost no other visitors were there that afternoon, but I couldn’t shake off the feeling of being watched. The only thing I saw were some black birds high up in the trees. After closing time I went to get a cup of coffee and outside the walls I saw the bird again: just watching.

Took a picture to catch the moment with the only camera I took out that day.
