The Dinner Guest
This inner black and white photo is a 10-second selfie. This was a bit of a challenge and required sitting in place and placing my hands and body in position and committing it to muscle memory. I walked to the camera and pressed the shutter which gave me 10 seconds to go around the table, put the sunglasses on, pick up the bone handle utensils, and assume the pose. Using a 3-Legged Thing tripod.
The room was without light except for a single Godex LED wand set to 5500k and a single candle.
The scene consisted primarily of the colors black, brown, red, and orange.
Basic editing in Lightroom using a variety of exposure brushes to lighten and darken various areas as needed. Cropped to square.

The outer color image was taken three years later outside our local movie theater advertising the showing of “The Amazing Maurice” handheld.

Final editing was using Photoshop.
The original black and white was expanded with a white background to match the interior size of the movie poster as a layer.
The color image was slightly edited with a crop tool and a little use of the gradient tool. Two more texture layers were added (gritty and cracked) with opacity adjusted. Text layers added. Flatten layers and done!
