Who It’s For:
This is the first time in years that Nikon has released a prime lens in this focal length that we can actually afford. So if you want a great lens for landscapes with very little distortion, this is perfect.
What We Like:
Silent Wave Motor: This lens is incredibly quiet while focusing unlike some of the older D lenses
Optics: It’s a prime lens so it’s incredibly sharp compared to comparable zoom models.
What We Don't:
It’s not really a dislike: but this focal length while good for landscapes and photo journalism, it’s not much of a portrait lens as it can cause some odd distortion up close.
