It is that time of the year again! Canon and Nikon both have some awesome sales going on at B&H right now. There are a TON of different lens choices and bodies available for instant savings and mail in rebates. I purchased my Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS II in December during one of the last times this happened, and I saved $300. If you are someone who waits for the perfect deals to come out, now is your time to jump up and break out the credit card.
With up to $450 in savings on bodies and $300 in savings on lenses from Canon, there is no better time to try and get a new product. Nikon is also showing savings of up to $480 on a new body and lens combination as well. Overall, if you play your cards right, you can get a NEW lens and body and save yourself $400+ which can then be used to pay off a few extra gas fill ups, or you know, buy the new Fstoppers: Peter Hurley Illuminating the Face DVD which is getting ready to release to the public.
During sales like this, I always try to take advantage of them by buying a new lens for my bag. Like mentioned earlier, last time I got my 70-200 f/2.8L IS II and used my savings to purchase some filters to use with it. This time around, Canon is running even more lenes on sale which is AWESOME. Take a look at what they have to offer and if you see that lens you've been contemplating trying to get, now is that time to just click buy. The instant savings only last until 5/24/14 and the mail-in rebates expire on 7/5/14.

It's strange, Canon only shows a few of the lenses/bodies as discounted via the mail in rebate but b&h shows many more. I was looking at the 100mm L IS macro and they even have a link to the mail in rebate from canon, but the lens is not on the list. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/FrameWork/Rebates_Promos/070514_CANO67_Ameri...
You could use Digital Rev and buy the 100mm and save yourself $164? The Canon 5d mkiii (which I am trying to buy) is also $520 cheaper on dig rev website...or am I missing something here? (Oh and I am not sponsored by dig rev just saying :)
I've never bought from Digital Rev. With all the grey market crap out there the pucker factor goes up substantially when I buy away from B&H or Amazon. Thanks for the suggestion, I will look into this company
Goddamn it Canon. I just bought the 70-200 f/2.8L IS II during your March MIL and that was only for $200!
