Canon 60D

Canon 60D

Who It's For:

The Canon EOS 60D is Canon's upper entry level camera, similar to the NIkon D5100. This camera if for amateur photographs who want a wider array of features than the Rebel but do not want to make the jump to a full frame camera.

What We Like:

Low Light Performance: The 60D has very managble noise for a 1.6x crop.

Solid Build Quality: Despite its plastic frame, the camera still feels solid.

Fast Autofocus: While it’s not the next generation of autofocus systems, it still does a great job.

Speed: For this price point, 6fps is great and more than you’ll need for most situations.

Build In Wireless Control

Custom Shooting Modes

Vari-Angle LCD: this is great for shooting at weird angles or in tight spaces

What We Don't

Lack of Dedicated Buttons: The pop out LCD screen eliminates a lot of the dedicated buttons that you would have on the back of the camera, making some functions a two handed affair.

Amaturish Preset Buttons: I can see the use of these on an entry level camera, but at this price point I don’t quite see the need for them and I don’t see them being used all that often.
