No doubt, the 8K raw video capabilities of the EOS R5 are drool-worthy, at least on paper, but the vast majority of us do not actually need such extreme features, and they can actually be a hindrance, as you will need high-end processing capabilities and a ton of storage just to work with the files. The EOS R6 might actually be the more balanced camera, and it comes about $1,500 cheaper than the EOS R5, making it an appealing option for a wide range of uses. With 4K at up to 60 fps in 4:2:2 10-bit, a fully articulating LCD screen, dual UHS-II card slots, and in-body image stabilization of up to eight stops, it is certainly no slouch when it comes to video work.
