Who It’s For:
This is an inexpensive set of legs for anyone who wants to upgrade from a plastic tripod, but doesn’t want to spend a huge amount of money on carbon fiber or on legs with tons of extra features. So if you want a stable platform with a little extra weight, these are the legs for you.
What We Like:
Weight: If you’re hiking or doing anything that will require you to carry this for long distances, this might be something of an issue, but once you get there, you’ll appreciate that this camera isn’t light as a feather. I’ve used these legs for long exposures in 2 feet of surf and had rock steady images.
Price: You really can’t beat the price tag on these legs.
Height: With a maximum height of 70inches this will probably be more than anything you’ll need
Leg Warmers: Believe me, if you’ve ever shot in cold weather, you’ll know how important these things are if you’re not wearing gloves.
What We Don’t:
Minimum Height: Getting this camera to its lowest height is incredibly awkward and almost requires a counterweight, so if you are always shooting a few inches off of the ground, you might want to look at another option.
Whats the price
$114.90 after the $25 rebate
Had a set of these for years, they're great for the price although getting a super low angle is a nightmare and requires a bit of trial and error to get everything just so. They have a little hook thing that allows you to hang your gear bag off it to give the platform some extra stability. Overall I'm very happy with these legs and would recommend them to anyone wanting a reasonably solid platform for not too much money.
