You might remember that the 35mm f/1.4 was the lens that kickstarted the entire Art line's popularity as sharp and affordable, and for Sony shooters, it offers a very popular focal length paired with a wide maximum aperture at quite an affordable price. This version features an FLD element and four SLD elements for reduced chromatic aberrations and improved clarity, two aspherical elements for reduced distortion and improved sharpness, Super Multi-Layer Coating for reduced flares and ghosting and improved contrast, a rounded nine-blade diaphragm for smooth bokeh, Hyper Sonic Motor, and dust- and splash-resistant design.
