Who It's For:
This is Sigma's newest midrange zoom lens for photographers who need a fast lens at these focal lengths without having to drag around a bag full of prime lenses.
What We Like:
Fast AF: The Sigma 50-150mm has very fast autofocus
Build Quality: This lens is built like a tank and should hold up to pretty much anything you throw at it. Although it probably wishes you wouldn't throw things at it.
Noise: This lens is very quiet owing to its HSM focusing motor
Focus Ring: The focus ring on this lens is big and smooth so manual corrections are very easy to make quickly.
What We Don't:
Size: This lens is pretty big, so on a larger body this is going to be a workout.
Backwards Zoom/Focus Ring Orientation: This might be a little confusing at the start, but you'll get used to it eventually.
