Hi there,
I'm new here - (starting out) filmmaker & photographer.
I recently realised, that some model agencies don't give credit to the photographers when they use portraits/
full body shots.
Whats your take on this matter? Actually they use your work to promote their models.
Therefore they might make more money because of your great pictures. So they should
either pay or give credit, right?
Or am I seeing this wrong?
Thanks for your comments on this matter :)
Cheers

You should be able to insist that you get a credit, unless you gave/sold the copyright to them, which you should never do. Licensing someone, or a firm, to allow them to use your work is different to giving the copyright away.
Laws differ from one country to another but I would expect you are entitled in law, to a credit and why would they have a problem with crediting the artist who made the photograph they like enough to use to promote their business. Makes no sens to me.
Thats what I'be been thinking! Thanks for your answer
What do other photographers have experienced regarding this matter? Would love
to hear some opinion/experiences
