So I have a great interest in portrait photography and I thought I'd share some of my pictures with you all. I've only really started out so if they aren't that great I'm sorry. I'd love to hear your thoughts & opinions though!
I like the 4th one. Aside from all the technical issues, to me, a portrait has to show a connection to the subject. And that is the only one that shows real interaction, versus just observing through the lens.
I quite like 3,4 & 7. You have made a good start. Stick at it and just keep thinking about your work but also about great photographers' work that you love. Get the books, go on line and learn about fabulous photogrpahers, there are so many. Might I suggest you start by looking at the work of Henri Cartier-Bresson.
In terms of your photos there are issues with cropping and exposure etc but nothing too serious that you won't naturally correct as you continue to work at your photography. Non of us make great shots every time we make a photograph, so the fact that some are not great is not to worry about.
Enjoy and the rest just comes naturally, but not over night.
I love the contrast you created in your first image, but (just a tip regarding subject's position) you could have created gabs between her arms and waist to slim her down. I would also be curious to see what the image would look like with added sharpness to the rusty details of the background.
Image 2 : If I'm not too see the subject's face, I wish the colors of the image would at least be complimentary (look up for color theory on Google) or the background, interesting.
Image 3 : I like the movement in the image, but I think we see too much of the white of her eyes, and not enough of the colors of it. It looks a little creepy! ;)
Image 4 : Nice shot! As Prefers Film said, you have there a good connection with the subject. I don't like the colors of the background though. It's too green for this kind of portrait (dark and scary background vs laughing subject - what is she thinking? ;)).
Image 6 : Watch out not to show too much of the white of her eyes, as I said earlier. Also, I like that she is playing with her hair, it could make the image look natural, but I think you took the shot at the wrong moment. Would someone be playing like this with his hair and looking away with a bit of defiance in the eyes?
Image 7 : In my opinion, this is your best shot, and it is a great shot ;). You might want to consider respecting the rules of third in this case though.
Anyway, I hope those comments can help you out! Keep shooting, and show us your progress! :)

Which one is your favorite, and why?
Thankyou for this! I'll keep trying
