The technicals are pretty good but what have you added to the Halloween theme. Where is the theatrical drama, the darkness the mystery and fear? The image and her expression do not reflect nightmare and it is your role to make this happen. Your sitter needs you to get her emotionally into the spirit of the work so she has a magical image to recall what I hope was a great all Hallows eve.
Thanks Ian for commenting.
We where heading to a Halloween party were the theme was a masquerade, so we did this shoot before heading to it.
My intention was not to create a nightmarish feel, because to me, Halloween is more than fear/darkness, it is about portraying the role of a character that you normally wouldn't.
But with that said, I agree I could have evoked more emotion out of her and gotten a better expression; that is defiantly something I will work on for the next I do a shoot like this.
Good point well made. However, remember, masquerades are all about mystery and fun and perhaps being naughty, a little light and shade on her face might have worked for this reason or a sense of movement and excitment in the framing, and expression.
